For its fifth participation at Maison&Objet, OliveLab presents MareLuna, a lamp that transforms light into memory and space into an emotional outlook onto the Mediterranean.
Designed by Giulia Liverani, MareLuna originates from an intimate yet universal image: standing by a window in the evening, watching the moon reflected on the sea as light blends with the marine breeze. A suspended moment that becomes design.
MareLuna is more than a lighting fixture; it is a narrative device—a symbolic window capable of bringing the emotion of a memory into interior spaces. Light does not simply illuminate; it evokes. It shapes soft surfaces, suggests depth, and restores the calm and poetry of a distant landscape.

Handcrafted in ceramic in collaboration with ceramic artist Camilla Garelli, MareLuna celebrates materiality as a core design value. The choice of ceramic enhances the project's tactile dimension, offering a living, imperfect and sensorial surface that interacts authentically with light.
MareLuna is currently in the development phase and is presented at Maison&Objet as a preview. The product will officially enter the catalogue exclusively in 2026, reaffirming OliveLab's approach, which prioritises research, design time and quality over immediacy.
Designer
Giulia Liverani is an Italian designer whose work lies at the intersection of light, material and poetry. Her research explores the emotional potential of objects, transforming them into narrative tools capable of evoking inner landscapes and intimate sensations. In her projects, light becomes language and material an expressive medium, always in dialogue with architectural space.
Broader vision for contemporary design
Alongside MareLuna, OliveLab presents at Maison&Objet two further range extensions: Ali di Luce in its new Pendant version and Oplà in the Wall and Floor variants.
These extensions are designed to offer architects and designers an increasingly comprehensive and flexible portfolio, aligned with the needs of contemporary living and contract spaces, where poetry, technology and a deep attention to materials continue to define the brand's identity.
