French distributor Mobility acquired two brands

Apynov and its Konyks brand have been acquired by French distributor Mobility, a move described as "desired by both parties," marking a new phase in product development and innovation. The merger will allow Konyks to access Mobility's network of several thousand points of sale across France, broadening its customer base.

Konyks specialises in French-made smart home devices, including plugs, sensors, cameras and lighting, all compatible with major voice assistants. Olivier Medam, president of Konyks and Apynov, emphasised that their promise remains unchanged: to deliver the "most intuitive, accessible, and high-performing Smart Home experience" through a single application.

Mobility, a leading high-tech distributor in France, handles products from brands such as Philips, Panasonic, LG, Arlo, Calex, Motorola, Corsair and Elgato, offering around 5,000 products across physical stores and e-commerce platforms. CEO Fred Mauger stated the merger represents "the birth of a robust and agile French ecosystem" capable of competing with major international brands by combining service excellence with local customer proximity.

The acquisition is expected to strengthen Konyks' innovation capabilities and enhance Mobility's smart home portfolio, positioning both companies to capitalise on growing demand for connected home technologies in France.
