XXXLutz has received approval from the city of Oberhausen to build a new three-story furniture store on the former steelworks site near the Centro shopping centre. The planned store will cover 33,000 square meters, with roughly one-third of the space, around 11,000 square meters, dedicated to the Mömax product range. The new location is scheduled to open in spring 2028, and with its completion, XXXLutz Rück will vacate its long-standing Straßburger Straße site, which spans 29,000 square meters and will be transferred to the city's responsibility.
