The Ministry attributed the faster growth to strong performances in agriculture, domestic trade, construction and the processing industry. Official statistics show that GDP growth in the third quarter of 2025 reached 2.1% compared with the same period a year earlier, exceeding the Ministry's earlier estimate of 2%.

Overall, real GDP growth for the first nine months of 2025 stood at 1.3%.

Economic activity has been supported by recovery and business development programmes financed through international assistance, alongside substantial budget spending on capital reconstruction, repairs to critical infrastructure and housing initiatives such as eReconstruction and eHousing. Procurement of domestically produced defence goods has also contributed.

The Ministry reported ongoing structural shifts towards activities with "high added value". Mechanical engineering's share of industrial sales rose to 9%, up from 5.7% in 2021, while higher capacity utilisation was noted in pharmaceuticals, furniture, wood processing, food and textiles.
