A baby bed imported from China has been rejected at the UK border due to serious safety concerns, the Office for Product Safety and Standards has confirmed.

The Mlove11 Baby Co Sleeping Bed lacked valid technical documentation, proper labelling, and clear instructions to ensure safe use. Regulators warned that unsupervised infants could be at risk of suffocation if pressed against the product's bumper while sleeping.

The Office stated: "In the absence of markings and instructions to support consumers in safe usage, it may be possible for the product to be used in an unsafe manner… The product does not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005."

As a result, the import was refused entry. The case highlights the UK's ongoing scrutiny of imported baby products and the enforcement of safety standards to protect consumers.
