For its 2026 edition, Destination Design is taking a bold new direction. From 18 to 20 January, the fair at the Klokgebouw in Eindhoven will no longer separate young designers from established brands. Instead, all exhibitors will be integrated into one continuous design environment, with emerging talent embedded directly within major brand presentations.

Preview of the news on Destination Design.
Under the theme Welcome Home, Destination Design focuses on meaningful encounters between designers, makers, brands, retailers and editors. The fair positions itself not only as a place to discover innovations, but as a platform where the future of design is actively shaped.
A strong emphasis on young designers forms one of the core values of Destination Design 2026. Exhibitors are encouraged to collaborate with emerging talent, whether as co-designers, partners in development or new voices within a brand's design narrative.

Curator Gertrude van den Brink explains:
"Young designers too often end up at the margins of design fairs. At Destination Design we do the opposite: we weave them into the design community and bring them together with established brands. That is where real relationships and future collaborations begin."
Examples of integrated collaborations
- QLIV x Stijn van Aardenne – merging lighting and furniture for a layered presentation.
- Label van den Berg x Daphna Laurens x Byborre – continuing an established collaboration with a new textile edition and additional pieces by Laurens.
- COR x Lukas Hentschel – expanding the collection with a new side table by an emerging designer.
- Saloni x Derin Savaşır & Haluk Özbek – an intergenerational collaboration resulting in a flexible modular sofa.
