Catellani & Smith illuminate the three-Michelin-starred Da Vittorio

Da Vittorio, the iconic three-Michelin-starred restaurant in Brusaporto (Bergamo), stands as one of the finest expressions of Italian haute cuisine on the global stage. Nestled within the Da Vittorio Relais & Châteaux estate and guided with passion by the Cerea family, the restaurant is set amidst immaculate gardens, tranquil lakes, and lush greenery, an oasis of calm dedicated to exceptional hospitality.

Every detail contributes to a memorable guest experience: from the three-starred creations of brothers Enrico and Roberto Cerea to the refined warmth of La Dimora, the estate's boutique hotel. Complementing this world of taste and elegance is a lighting narrative designed by Catellani & Smith, which guides guests through the restaurant and across the entire estate.

Bespoke light for a three-starred atmosphere
Inside Da Vittorio, rooms featuring finely decorated ceilings, exposed beams, white boiserie, and Caravaggio-style paintings welcome guests among elegant floral arrangements and silverware. On every round table, a custom Giulietta BE lamp, engraved with the Da Vittorio logo, casts soft, adjustable light, enhancing the dining experience with a gentle touch.

The restaurant also includes the sophisticated American Bar Da Vittorio, where the battery-powered Giulietta BE lamp can be moved seamlessly from the bar counter to the coffee tables. Its warm glow, together with the Fil de Fer floor lamp in anodised gold, enriches the ambience, highlighting the dark wood boiserie and bar display.

Light, nature, and contemporary design
Adjacent to the main restaurant is DaV Cantalupa, a casual dining space recently renovated by Joseph Di Pasquale Architects. Overlooking the park and swimming pool, its large windows open directly onto nature. The interiors feature a striking custom suspended Pòta! installation, where brass rods intersect to support a handcrafted glass lighting element equipped with modern LED filament technology. On the marble tables, the portable Giulietta BE lamp appears again, this time personalised with the DaV logo.

Illuminating La Dimora
La Dimora, the estate's boutique hotel, offers a selection of rooms and suites defined by timeless romantic elegance. In the hotel's corridors, Catellani & Smith's Light Stick lamp in a brass finish provides refined, minimalist illumination. LEDs housed within the structure deliver soft, diffused light that gently accompanies guests through the space.

Lighting the landscape
Catellani & Smith's presence extends outdoors into the estate's expansive park. Along pathways lined with rich vegetation, outdoor lighting pieces such as Fil de Fer, Syphasera, Syphasfera, and Syphaduepassi shape the landscape with dramatic and poetic lighting effects. Each area becomes an evocative setting—such as the pergola where a composition of More suspension lamps lights an inviting outdoor dining table.
