A North Jutland kitchen manufacturer is set to open its first Copenhagen store this spring, establishing a 300-square-metre showroom on Falkoner Allé. Nicklas Rithamer Rothman, 35, will operate as an independent franchisee, overseeing the conversion of a former sports store into a modern retail space for kitchens, bathrooms, and wardrobe solutions.

JKE Design's franchisee Rothman highlighted the gap in Copenhagen's market, noting, 'There is simply a lack of a JKE store in Copenhagen. I know this because I am a nerd about kitchens, details, craftsmanship, quality and prices.' The store will employ two additional kitchen consultants and a hostess to manage customer reception and social media marketing.
The showroom will feature fully functional kitchens, allowing the company to host events such as food demonstrations, exhibitions, and wine evenings. Jakob Kristensen, JKE country manager, emphasised the strategic location on one of Copenhagen's busiest streets, offering optimal visibility for the brand.
JKE Design already has outlets in Glostrup and Lyngby, but central Copenhagen has long been a target for expansion. The company is also exploring potential openings in cities including Næstved, Slagelse, Amager, Køge, Hillerød, Randers, Silkeborg, Vejle, Holstebro, Herning, Aabenraa, and Odense. All JKE stores operate under independent franchise agreements, reflecting the brand's continued growth strategy.
