A longstanding furniture store in Kolding since 1974, has turned a corner after years of financial difficulties, posting a pre-tax profit of nearly 52,000 DKK in the latest fiscal year. Previous years saw significant losses, including a 1.2 million DKK deficit in 2022/23.

Owner of Jobo Møbler, Bo Pedersen, highlighted that the business was heavily impacted by rising energy costs and interest rates, which reduced revenue by 60% in 2022. Changing consumer behaviour and competition from online retailers also pressured the store, leading to a reduction in staff from seven employees in 2022 to four in 2025.
Despite these challenges, Jobo Møbler's management views the recent results as a sign of recovery. Gross profit increased to 1.5 million DKK, operating profit reached 0.2 million DKK, and equity remains stable at 2.7 million DKK.
Pedersen expressed optimism for the upcoming financial year, aiming for growth and stability. The store continues to sell high-quality furniture, such as Wegner sofas in oak and savak, and is now focused on moving forward after a difficult period.
