Ready assembled furniture may seem like a traditional choice in a market flooded with flat pack convenience, yet its appeal is growing stronger than ever. As the UK interiors sector continues to evolve, Welcome Furniture stands out as a manufacturer committed to simplicity, reliability and a service model built entirely around ease. Business Development Manager Tim Hunt reflects on the company's approach, its plans for the January Furniture Show and why a no fuss experience still resonates with customers across the country.

Choosing ease over assembly
While flat pack furniture continues to thrive in the UK, Welcome Furniture has deliberately chosen another path. Tim is forthright about why: 'We've been producing ready assembled furniture for over 15 years and it's a market that continues to perform well for us.' For him, the value is clear. 'That ready assembled product is our USP because it brings that extra value that isn't there for flat pack products.'
Convenience sits at the heart of the offer, meeting the expectations of customers who increasingly want products that can be ordered and simply put in place. 'It's delivered by our teams to the room of choice by the customer and then we take the packaging away,' Tim explains. 'The only thing left for them to do is put socks in the drawer.' The company operates two man delivery teams across the UK, with 15 to 20 vans on the road Monday to Friday to ensure the experience remains as seamless as promised.

Importance of January
The January Furniture Show, held at the NEC, remains a cornerstone of the company's calendar. 'It's a key moment for us and the industry,' Tim says. 'January is when everyone comes together to share news, gain insight and set the tone for the year ahead.'
Welcome Furniture has exhibited there consistently for over 5 years in a row. 'Our goal is always to reconnect with existing customers, update them on what's new and look ahead together,' he explains. Discovery also plays a crucial role. 'You never know who might be looking for our products, so it's the perfect place to make those introductions.'

New on the horizon
Although Tim is careful not to reveal too much ahead of the show, he hints at a significant expansion. 'There are some really exciting developments coming through,' he says. 'They're quite different for us and will genuinely add to our product offering.' Visitors can expect new colours, new ranges and a notable extension into an area the company has not focused on before. Materials and trend led finishes will also appear, but as Tim puts it, 'there's a fair bit of wait and see.'
At the stand, visitors will encounter a wide range of UK manufactured, ready assembled furniture delivered 'in a no nonsense way'. The brand's FSC certification and ISO 9001 credentials will be prominently highlighted, reinforcing its commitment to quality and responsible production. But Tim emphasises that personality is just as important. 'We're a lovely bunch, really welcoming, supportive and knowledgeable. Come on by for a nice chat. We've got a nice colourful stand and some great folks.'
Ultimately, Tim hopes guests leave with an understanding of the breadth and reliability behind the brand. 'It's that big range of colour finish and furniture designs that we offer,' he concludes. 'You order it, the process happens and it gets delivered. That's what we always aim for.'
