Bed Bath & Beyond is reopening physical stores after acquiring The Brand House Collective, formerly Kirkland's. The $26.8 million deal, expected to finalise in the first quarter of 2026, will convert approximately 250 Kirkland's locations into Bed Bath & Beyond stores over the next two years, while more than 40 underperforming stores are set to close.

The move follows Bed Bath & Beyond's 2023 bankruptcy, which led to the closure of all its physical stores in the U.S. The retailer has continued online sales since then, and the first renewed store opened in Brentwood, Tennessee, in August 2025 under the name Bed Bath & Beyond Home.
Delaware currently has three Kirkland's stores in Rehoboth Beach, Dover, and Christiana. The Brand House Collective has not yet confirmed which locations will close or be converted in 2026. Bed Bath & Beyond's previous Delaware stores, including Buy Buy Baby locations, closed during the bankruptcy.
If you want, I can also create a shorter, punchy version for LinkedIn or a newsletter highlighting the Delaware-specific impact.
