ECHO Launches in Stockholm as a New International Design Exhibition Platform

ECHO, a new international exhibition platform for design, will make its debut from 3–6 February 2026 on Skeppsholmen, central Stockholm. The initiative offers design companies and creatives an opportunity to showcase their latest work to journalists, architects, and design enthusiasts, creating a physical meeting point to foster connections and business opportunities.

The first edition of ECHO will be followed by a second event in Copenhagen from 10–12 June 2026.

Karin Sköldberg, founder of the exhibition, explained:
"ECHO is a passion project and a manifestation of Stockholm as a design city and Sweden as a design nation to be reckoned with. When the opportunity arose to showcase the best in design in a historically rooted setting, next to both ArkDes and Moderna Museet and with an outstanding view of the Saltsjön and the city of Stockholm, the decision was easy."

ECHO will take place in a former cannon workshop at Slupskjulsvägen 20–22, offering approximately 400 square metres of exhibition space. Beyond displays, the platform will host curated ECHO Talks by The New Era Magazine, architecture and press breakfasts, evening cocktails, and networking events. International star chef Mathias Dahlgren will provide catering, while Trendgruppen PR will manage international press relations and Swedish media events.

The inaugural exhibition features a selection of Swedish and international design brands, including Bemz, DUX, JOY Objects/Fredrik Paulsen, Kähler, Ogeborg/Monica Förster Design Studio, Staffan Holm Studio, Anki Gneib, Mia Cullin, and Solid Space Studio. Exhibitors will be regularly highlighted on Instagram (@echo.exhibition) and via the website echoexhibition.se.

Originally conceived as a complement to Stockholm Furniture Fair, ECHO continues its mission to strengthen Stockholm as a global design destination and elevate Sweden's profile as a centre for innovation and creativity in design. The platform's debut comes at a pivotal moment, following the announcement that the Stockholm Furniture Fair has been postponed until 2027, positioning ECHO as a timely and strategic addition to the international design calendar.
