Gautier exits receivership and prepares for recovery

On December 2, 2025, the Poitiers Commercial Court formally approved Gautier's exit from receivership, allowing the Vendée-based furniture manufacturer and distributor to implement a continuation plan after a challenging period marked by sector underperformance and a downturn in the real estate market.

Gautier, headquartered in Le Boupère, plans to focus on three strategic pillars for recovery:

  1. Digital transformation – Enhancing customer experience and simplifying internal processes.
  2. Industrial flexibility – Making production more adaptable to meet evolving customer needs.
  3. Diversification – Expanding product lines, including home storage solutions and contract-market offerings, to secure long-term business stability.

The company acknowledged the critical support of its 500 employees, franchise network, customers, suppliers, and local industrial partners. Notably, 16 investors, including NBA champion Rudy Gobert, contributed to the recovery effort, alongside backing from Banque de l'Orme. More than 75% of creditors approved the continuation plan, signalling strong confidence in Gautier's future.

David Soulard, Managing Director, emphasised that while this milestone is significant, the company approaches the next phase with humility and determination. Gautier aims to close 2025 with a turnover of €75 million, down from nearly €100 million in 2024, while investing €14 million in targeted initiatives to improve industrial efficiency and competitiveness.

Gautier remains committed to its founding values of humility and passion, aiming to rebuild a solid, agile, and sustainable business.
