Homeware sales on the UK high street recorded their 35th positive week of 2025, according to the latest BDO High Street Sales Tracker. For the week ending 23 November 2025, like-for-like (LFL) total sales rose 6.89%, with homewares LFLs surging 18.30%, recovering from a negative base of -5.05% in 2024.

Store-based homeware sales grew 11.35%, marking the first positive result in three weeks, while non-store sales climbed 33.50% from a -7.10% base. Total in-store sales increased 3.86%, and non-store sales rose 10.74% compared with the same period last year.
BDO attributed the gains to strong online retail performance and a 4.2% rise in overall footfall, boosted by healthier high street (+5.1%), shopping centre (+3.5%), and retail park (+3.1%) traffic. Cold weather conditions, including snow and frost, were noted but did not dampen consumer activity.
The results reflect resilient consumer demand for homeware products despite challenging weather and last year's negative sales comparisons.
