Poltrona Frau has introduced Blisscape, a new modular sofa designed by Ludovica Serafini and Roberto Palomba, as part of its 2025 collection The Five Seasons. The piece embodies the brand's vision of contemporary comfort, combining refined craftsmanship, innovative ergonomics, and an aspirational concept inspired by Lou Reed's Perfect Day.

Blisscape's name merges the ideas of "bliss" and "escape," capturing the intimate, relaxed atmosphere that the sofa seeks to create. According to Nicola Coropulis, CEO of Poltrona Frau, "More than just a sofa, Blisscape is a safe haven. It embraces and accommodates the body, adapting to movements and transforming every moment of relaxation into something unique. A place where comfort is shaped around those who experience it, exactly like a perfect song that takes on different meanings depending on the moment in which you listen to it."
Designed for ultimate comfort, the sofa features generously proportioned seat cushions crafted with high-performance, mattress-like padding that ensures breathability, softness, and shape retention. A built-in mechanism concealed in the backrest cushions allows the user to adjust each element, supporting the head and adapting to a variety of postures.
The structure rests on an elegant base of solid beech, poplar, and birch plywood, supported by a metal frame and lightly padded before being covered in Pelle Frau leather, giving the impression that the sofa floats a few centimetres above the floor. Removable cushions for the seat, backrest, and armrests can be upholstered in either Pelle Frau leather or fabric, with options for soft or firm fill.

Blisscape's modular design offers a range of standard and large-size elements, enabling a high degree of customisation.
