Artemide celebrates the re-edition of Sintesi, Ernesto Gismondi's first design for the company. A lamp that, since its origin, has embodied a radical idea: light as a synthesis of efficiency, modularity and purposeful design.
Introduced in 1975, Sintesi redefined the dialogue between technology and form.
The bent-metal structure, the intuitive movement, the clarity of its mechanics, everything expressed an idea of design as precision, reduction and intelligence. Fifty years later, it remains an example of what good design means.

A vision ahead of its time
Designed around shared components, Sintesi was conceived as a system: a family of configurations built from a minimal number of elements. The re-edition of the table version maintains this original clarity: adjustable in height and angle, compact when folded, precise when in use. It is not just a return, it is a reminder of how far-sighted design can continue to inform the present. The historical palette returns unchanged, giving each version a distinct identity suited to contemporary interiors.
On its 50th anniversary, Sintesi becomes once again a cultural object: a piece that connects generations of designers and continues to embody the values that shaped Artemide.
