Chateau d’Ax emerges from debt restructuring, ushers in new era

Historic Italian furniture brand Chateau d'Ax today announced the successful conclusion of its formal restructuring process ("concordato preventivo"), originally initiated in 2018. The company is now entering a new growth phase under the leadership of the third generation of the founding Colombo family.

Having fulfilled all requirements to exit the concordato regime, Chateau d'Ax is launching an ambitious industrial revival plan. Central to this strategy is a renewed corporate governance structure: the family retains ownership, while day‑to‑day management is entrusted to an independent executive team.

Going forward, the company aims to strengthen its presence in Italy by expanding its retail network and boosting its core living and upholstery business. International expansion remains a priority, particularly in markets across Asia, the Middle East and other regions outside Europe.

Chateau d'Ax also reaffirms its commitment to "Made in Italy" craftsmanship, continuing production across multiple factories in Northern and Southern Italy and investing in design innovation, sustainable materials and shortened time-to-market cycles.

Moreover, the brand recently received the official recognition as an Marchio Storico Italiano di Interesse Nazionale (Historic Italian Brand of National Interest) — a mark of cultural and industrial heritage and a testament to its legacy spanning over 75 years.

With healthy balance sheets, renewed leadership and a clear roadmap for retail expansion and international growth, Chateau d'Ax looks ahead with optimism — confident in the future of Italian design and craftsmanship.
