As the UK furniture industry prepares for the January Furniture Show 2026, Lebus Upholstery is ready to demonstrate why this event remains a pivotal moment in their calendar. For Yaqub Hussain, Digital Marketeer at Lebus, it is the point where the industry collectively resets, retail relationships are renewed, and new collections gain their first real momentum. With a focus on meaningful innovation and strong partnerships, Lebus is ready to set the tone for the year ahead, delivering both fresh design and trusted craftsmanship to the UK market.

Setting the tone
For Lebus, the show is not simply an appointment in the diary; it is the moment the industry collectively resets. 'The January Furniture Show is the first and most significant event in the UK's furniture retail calendar,' he explains. 'It sets the tone for the whole year, and it allows us to launch new-season collections exactly when retailers need them.'
But the value goes far beyond commercial timing. He stresses the human side of the gathering. 'For us, JFS is genuinely a family reunion. It is where we reconnect with loyal retail partners, hear what is happening on the ground, and just talk face-to-face again. That makes a huge difference.'
This year, Lebus arrives with clear intent. 'Our biggest focus is the formal launch of several new sofa ranges that are exclusive to the show,' he says. 'We want strong order books from day one because that supports our retailers immediately.' Existing partners remain at the heart of the strategy. 'We have key account meetings planned throughout the show. It is all about making sure they have the right range, the right support, and the right tools to succeed in 2026.'
Welcoming new relationships is equally important. 'We are always open to conversations with potential customers,' he adds. 'If someone is looking for a reliable British manufacturer offering quality and value, then we have something to talk about.'

Newsness with meaning
The 2026 stand will spotlight what Yaqub calls 'newness with meaning'. He reveals that expanded corner and U-shaped models will feature heavily. 'People want flexibility, so we have created modular components that can be adapted to almost any space,' he says. Enhanced comfort technology also plays a major role. 'We have been working on new internal innovations, from improved spring systems to advanced foams. The aim is simple: better long-term comfort.'
Classic designs are returning too, but with fresh aesthetics. 'We have taken popular silhouettes and updated them with contemporary fabrics, cleaner lines and smarter trim options,' he notes. 'It is about keeping timeless styles relevant.'

Craftsmanship in focus
Lebus's design philosophy is described as 'Value, Quality and Commitment Without Compromise', continues to guide every decision. 'We are leaning into textures, bouclés, deep velvets and nature-inspired colours, but we are engineering everything for efficient UK manufacturing,' Yaqub says. Sustainability and durability also feature. 'We are excited about our new high-performance fabrics that balance environmental consideration with everyday practicality.'
Structural integrity remains a cornerstone. 'We use hardwood frames, and we stand by our guarantees,' he states. 'That is the essence of British craftsmanship.'

Comfort at the centre
Lebus's well-known Hall 5 stand will once again be an open, hands-on space. 'Comfort is king, so visitors need to sit, test and feel every model,' he insists. Fabric libraries will be available to explore, and the Design and Product Development Team will be there throughout. 'Retailers can talk directly to the people who create the product. That level of dialogue is invaluable.'
His personal favourite among the new launches is clear. 'The Modular Lifestyle collection is the one I am most excited about,' he says. 'It has clean, modern lines, an unexpectedly deep, soft sit, and the versatility is a game-changer.'
As the conversation draws to a close, Yaqub shares the impression he hopes every visitor leaves with. 'Confidence,' he says simply. 'Confidence in the quality, confidence in the value, and confidence in Lebus as a forward-thinking British partner for the year ahead.'
