Drew Alden has joined Currey & Company as Director of Furniture, bringing extensive experience from a decade at Havertys Furniture in Atlanta, Georgia. During his five years as Buyer at Havertys, Alden oversaw key categories including occasional tables, media and accent furniture, office, and outdoor furnishings, managing product forecasting, training, merchandising, and sales analysis.

Prior to that, he spent five years as Product Development and Sourcing Manager, handling the full lifecycle of direct import merchandise from concept to production, often traveling abroad to oversee production and explore new materials and manufacturing processes. Before Havertys, Alden held positions at American Woodcrafters and Art Van Furniture. Currey & Company's Vice President of Product Development & Design, Pam Bailey, praised Alden's dual talent as both designer and collaborative merchant, highlighting his eye for style, trends, and assortment planning as pivotal to expanding the company's furniture program. Alden expressed enthusiasm for joining Currey & Company, noting the supportive culture, talented teams, and factory partners, and emphasising his commitment to creating designs that balance fresh innovation with respect for design history.
He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Furniture Design from Kendall College of Art & Design in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Currey & Company, founded 37 years ago by Robert and Suzy Currey, is a family-owned business with permanent showrooms in Atlanta, Dallas, Las Vegas, and High Point, North Carolina, and a sales network spanning the U.S. and international markets.
