Potocco continues to express its commitment to tailor-made design through projects that blend technical research with artisanal expertise. Each bespoke creation results from a process in which an initial concept is carefully shaped into form, balance and materiality, a capability refined over more than a century of craftsmanship.

The company's latest collaboration sees Potocco working with Architect & Friends, founded by Michael and Johanna Atzenhofer, to develop seating for the acclaimed Döllerer restaurant in Golling an der Salzach, Austria, set against the dramatic backdrop of the Alps. This commission perfectly illustrates the brand's ability to translate a design vision into furniture that is unique, elegant and highly functional.

Starting from the architects' sketches, Potocco's technical team developed three-dimensional models and prototypes, refining every element to achieve a balance of comfort, sophistication and durability. With a fully integrated in-house production chain, Potocco oversees every stage — from concept analysis and prototyping through to final production — ensuring consistent quality, reliable timeframes and direct communication with the designers.

As Architect & Friends explain:
"The greatest advantage of working with Potocco is that every phase of the project is carried out in-house. This means everyone involved understands the product from the very beginning. Moreover, production efficiency and brand communication allowed us to work with agility."

The resulting piece is a bespoke dining armchair designed to enhance guests' gastronomic experience at Döllerer, seamlessly combining hospitality, ergonomics and aesthetic refinement.

The chair's design subtly references the Döllerer family's origins as a butcher's shop in 1909: the armrest echoes the silhouette of a knife blade, while the back panel evokes the shape of traditional work aprons. This visual language connects heritage and modernity with natural ease.

The Architect & Friends team add:
"The chair was designed to integrate naturally into different settings — a piece that does not seek to dominate, but rather to elevate the atmosphere around it."

The project reflects Potocco's ability to meet even the most specific and complex requirements, offering customised solutions that embody the excellence of Italian design and craftsmanship.
