Møbelkompagniet has acquired the remaining assets of a Danish furniture chain, which closed its 23 stores during 2025. The acquisition, effective 1 November, includes the company's Fårup premises previously used for administration and warehousing. The company has been renamed Fårup Furniture and now serves as Møbelkompagniet's main warehouse, supporting click-and-collect services for customers.

My Home began a gradual shutdown of its stores a year ago due to persistent challenges in maintaining profitability, with the last stores closing on 31 May 2025. The brand and domain were previously sold to Lithuanian online retailer Furniture1, which continues the chain as a digital-only business.
Møbelkompagniet, based in northern Aarhus with additional stores in Odense, Aalborg and the Copenhagen area, benefits from the Fårup location's proximity, just a half-hour drive from its Aarhus base. The acquiring company has steadily improved its financial performance, reporting a 2024 net profit of DKK 1.7 million and an equity position of DKK 2.1 million.
My Home, founded in 2006 and briefly under Swedish BHG ownership, returned to Danish ownership in 2023 for a symbolic purchase price but struggled to achieve profitability, ultimately incurring pre-tax losses of DKK 50 million over its final two years of trading.
