ASDA has issued a product recall for its George Home Bench Pad after the Office for Product Safety and Standards identified a fire hazard. The bench pad, sold in black, tan, green, natural and grey, poses a risk because, if exposed to a naked flame, the outer material can melt and allow the internal filling to ignite and continue burning.

The product fails to meet the Furniture and Furnishings (Fire) (Safety) Regulations 1988 and has been recalled from consumers.
Customers are advised to stop using the bench pad immediately and return it to any ASDA store for a full refund. Further information is available on ASDA's website or via 0800 952 0101.
