DI Dekodur International GmbH & Co. KG in Hirschhorn am Neckar will see a planned management change at the end of 2025. Long-time Managing Director Rolf van den Berg will step down from operational duties on 31 December 2025, handing over to Thorsten Schubert, who has been preparing for the role since September 2025. Van den Berg, who acquired and restructured the company from insolvency in 2019, will remain as Chairman of the newly established Advisory Board.

Under van den Berg, Dekodur strengthened its market position in high-quality HPL surfaces and developed the patented fire protection system dekoFireSafe. The leadership transition is described as part of a strategic realignment, supported by a capital increase aimed at bolstering working capital, further developing dekoFireSafe, and advancing digitalisation initiatives.
Schubert, taking full operational control on 1 January 2026, emphasised internationalisation, digitalisation of processes, and expansion of the product portfolio as key strategic goals. Holger Obländer will continue as CFO and shareholder, ensuring additional continuity at the management level.
The company expects the leadership handover to be seamless, combining Schubert's fresh strategic vision with the stability and market foundation established by van den Berg over the past six years.
