A significant consolidation within the Danish design landscape will take effect on 1 October 2025, as Bent Hansen becomes part of Sibast Furniture, bringing together two highly respected furniture legacies under one brand. The move unites Bent Hansen's deep heritage in upholstery and sculptural comfort with Sibast Furniture's strong roots in mid-century Danish wooden furniture craftsmanship.

All activities will continue under the Sibast Furniture name, creating a strengthened platform grounded in quality materials, traditional craft techniques and timeless Nordic aesthetics. By merging the two collections, Sibast aims to offer a more complete and diverse interior universe to both private and professional clients across Europe's design-forward markets.
According to the company, the integration creates "a new whole… where wood craftsmanship and upholstery artistry meet", establishing a foundation for future collections in which "aesthetics, functionality and comfort go hand in hand".
The strategic union is backed by a team of well-known Danish design entrepreneurs. Michael Ring, owner of Stelton and incoming Chairman of the Board at Sibast Furniture, and businessman Jesper Wadum played a key role in shaping the agreement. Meanwhile, Henrik Hvid Hansen, former CEO of Bent Hansen, will continue within Sibast Furniture and join forces with Anna and Ditlev Sibast in management. The ownership structure will comprise Anna and Ditlev Sibast as principal shareholders alongside the companies of Hansen, Wadum Nielsen and Ring.

Anna and Ditlev Sibast emphasised the opportunity:
