Hoka Commercial Flooring, part of the Hoka Carpets & Floors group, was officially declared bankrupt by the Court in Esbjerg on 13 November, ending the firm's operations just two years after it was recognised as a Børsen Gazelle for strong growth.
According to reports from JydskeVestkysten, the company suffered a loss of DKK 966,507 and recorded negative equity of DKK 1.05 million in its most recent financial year, covering October 2023 to September 2024. Revenue fell to DKK 1.3 million, while staffing levels dropped from eight to four employees.
Dansk Revision Esbjerg stated that there was "significant uncertainty" about the company's ability to continue and reported 'serious violations of accounting, VAT and corporate legislation'. A petition for bankruptcy had already been submitted in October 2025.
Despite efforts by CEO Allan Greisen, who expressed hope that strict liquidity management could stabilise the business, the situation continued to deteriorate. The company had previously delivered flooring solutions to clients including Esbjerg Airport, EAB/DAB and Power. Creditors have been asked to submit claims to the appointed trustee within four weeks of the announcement.
