Notto at the Brussels Furniture Fair

Krzysztof Dukat: 'Comfort-driven solutions keep us strong in a challenging market'

Notto, the premium European furniture brand, returned to the Brussels Furniture Fair this year with a clear mission: to showcase its latest collections to an international audience and strengthen relationships with clients and partners across Europe. Managing Director Krzysztof Dukat explains, "The Brussels Furniture Fair is a key event in the industry calendar. It offers an inspiring atmosphere and a unique opportunity to exchange experiences with other manufacturers and designers."

The company's participation also allowed Notto to benchmark its solutions against market expectations and current trends while building new business connections. "As always, we wanted to see how our furniture compares with industry trends and what resonates with our clients," Dukat adds.

Positive Reception Across the Board
The response from visitors, buyers, and industry professionals was overwhelmingly positive. Dukat notes, "Both visitors and buyers appreciated the quality of craftsmanship in our furniture as well as its refined design. Many were particularly interested in our production technologies and sustainable approach to materials."

The comfort, functionality, and flexibility of Notto's furniture were also highlighted. "Clients valued the way we tailor solutions to each project. Our models combine aesthetics with practical comfort, which really appeals to European customers," Dukat says.

Standout Collections
Among the most talked-about pieces were Notto's upholstered furniture collections, praised for their diversity and versatility. "Every visitor emphasized the breadth of our portfolio," Dukat observes. Solid oak furniture also received strong recognition for its natural character and durability, demonstrating Notto's commitment to both timeless design and practical longevity.

Notto's newest collections are inspired by natural materials and simple, elegant forms. "Our goal is to combine modern design with traditional craftsmanship, creating pieces that meet the needs of today's homeowners," Dukat explains. Comfort and functionality remain at the heart of every design, ensuring that furniture is not just beautiful but also highly livable.

Innovation and Sustainability
Sustainability and technological innovation are central to Notto's production ethos. Dukat shares, "We are proud of implementing modern production technologies. Using advanced CNC machinery, running our own sawmill, and sourcing environmentally friendly materials allows us to produce sustainably without compromising on quality."

The company also invests in renewable energy and reduces raw material consumption wherever possible. "Our focus is on responsible production that aligns with the high standards of craftsmanship our clients expect," he adds.

Responding to market changes
The European furniture market has evolved significantly in recent years. Dukat notes, "While we've seen stagnation in markets like the Benelux and Germany, there's a growing demand for personalized, durable, and design-focused furniture."

Notto is adapting by innovating production processes, expanding its premium-quality offerings, and strengthening eco-friendly product lines. "By focusing on comfort and user-oriented solutions, we maintain a stable position as a reliable partner despite industry challenges," Dukat explains.

Looking ahead
Notto has ambitious plans for the future. Dukat reveals, "We are considering expansion into new markets both within and beyond Europe, particularly where innovative furniture solutions are welcomed. We're also continuing to develop our product portfolio, including collections for offices, hospitality, and contract interiors."

Over the next 3–5 years, Notto aims to strengthen its premium brand positioning. "Our focus will remain on high quality, innovation, and sustainability. By investing in production automation and expanding our eco-friendly lines, we want to be recognized as a trustworthy partner delivering inspiring, modern furniture across Europe," Dukat says.

Final thoughts
Reflecting on the company's philosophy, Dukat concludes, "The future of the furniture industry lies in balancing tradition, innovation, and environmental responsibility. At Notto, we are open to collaboration and new challenges, always aiming to raise standards in quality and design. Together with our partners, we continue to shape the story of European furniture craftsmanship."
