Aashni Kumar has unveiled A Home in the Clouds, a 5,000-square-foot residence perched above Bengaluru's bustling cityscape at Kingfisher Towers. Overlooking Cubbon Park, the home is conceived as a serene retreat, a sanctuary in the sky where light, texture, and materiality converge to craft a refined, contemplative atmosphere.

Anchored in modernist principles, the home emphasises clarity, proportion, and intentionality. "Colour and pattern are no longer the focus," Kumar notes. "We instead highlight proportion, the language of materials, and the intimacy of hand-finished details." Open-plan spaces, clean lines, and a meditative simplicity allow the architecture and furnishings to breathe, creating a balance between restraint and expression.
The luminous entry leads to the living areas, shaped by organic geometries and a curated selection of furniture. International brands Minotti, Molteni & C, Roche Bobois, and Giorgetti are seamlessly integrated with Indian designers including Pinakin, Hatsu, and SAR Design Studio. Kumar explains: "The clients wanted refinement without excess… minimal palettes succeed when every object is intentional."

Throughout the home, concealed storage and carefully considered spatial planning reinforce the philosophy of thoughtful design. Every detail, from hand-finished surfaces to textural contrasts, reflects a commitment to conscious living, transforming luxury from spectacle into subtlety.
A Home in the Clouds embodies a quiet poetry, where interior design becomes a dialogue between material, light, and space—an intimate manifesto for elevated urban living.
