Ikea has launched a new 550-square-metre Plan and order point in Sønderborg, Denmark, opening its doors on Thursday, 13 November 2025. The smaller-format store allows customers to book personal consultations for larger interior projects, including kitchens, bathrooms, and wardrobes.

Visitors can also browse product exhibitions, purchase selected items directly, and collect online orders. Andreas Møller, store manager, said the concept enables customers in South Jutland to meet Ikea staff face-to-face and receive tailored guidance, enhancing the shopping experience.
The Sønderborg store is part of Ikea's broader strategy to bring the brand closer to customers through more accessible, centrally located outlets. The Plan and order point model aims to combine inspiration, planning support, and convenience within a compact urban footprint.
