Flagship store investment leads to DKK 2.5 million deficit for Danish kitchen retailer

A flagship store and expanded staffing have led to a DKK 2.5 million deficit for a Danish kitchen retailer in the 2024/2025 fiscal year. Personnel costs rose significantly as the number of employees nearly tripled, and construction delays further impacted projected revenue.

The company behind this development is Svane Køkkenet, Kolding. Owner Carsten Krag Eriksen explained that the investments were long-term decisions, with management confident that they will pay off. Midway through the new financial year, revenue is already 30% above last year, driven by private customer sales and strengthened market performance.
