Duravit has introduced "Balcoon", a new bathroom collection by designer Patricia Urquiola, created to offer premium design at a medium price point for both residential and hospitality settings. The range combines architectural angles with soft curves and tactile warmth, aligning with Urquiola's signature use of refined geometry, layered textures, and material sensitivity.

The collection includes ceramic basins, furniture, taps, and bathtubs, all designed to balance form and function. Urquiola notes that the concept "plays with differences in height, projections and the overlapping of materials and textures", creating a sense of rhythm and depth. Sculptural elements, such as round or oval basins positioned on square plinths, appear throughout the system to create cohesive visual tension.
Material choices further define the range, with the central ceramic tone "Clay Terra Matt" offering an earthy, handcrafted character. Furniture options span soft whites to deep anthracite, incorporating textured surfaces and mineral consoles suited to hospitality spaces seeking calm and connection to place.
Practical features include asymmetric storage, terrazzo-look consoles, ribbed fronts, and ergonomically designed acrylic bathtubs. Resource-saving tap technologies, such as Fresh Start and Minus Flow, support sustainability goals. "Balcoon" positions itself as a design-led, environmentally conscious solution for hospitality spaces aiming to elevate the guest bathroom experience.
