A Danish manufacturer of soundproof office pods and meeting rooms, has exited the UK market after incurring heavy losses. The company entered the UK in 2023 with a showroom at The Ministry, Borough Road, London, but fiscal year 2024/25 results revealed an 8.1 million DKK loss, more than double the previous year, as revenue fell over 30%.

CEO of MuteBox, Thomas Stephansen explained the decision: "It was an expensive setup. The UK is a large and exciting market, but also very costly. We've stopped the bleeding, and the decision to withdraw was not difficult."
MuteBox will now focus on growth in Denmark and expansion across Scandinavia, abandoning its UK operations after an investment of approximately 5 million DKK.
