The Danish furniture and home décor retailer JYSK, often dubbed the "Danish Ikea," is continuing its rapid growth in southern Spain with plans to open a new store in El Ejido, Almería. This marks the chain's fourth location in the province, adding to its existing stores in Huércal de Almería, Vícar, and Roquetas de Mar.

Although the exact opening date has not yet been confirmed, the location has been secured, and preparations are underway. JYSK has already begun recruiting staff through job platforms such as InfoJobs, where it is advertising for a Store Manager position. The role is offered on a full-time, permanent contract and requires at least three years of experience in leading and developing sales teams, as well as a vocational qualification.
With this new branch, JYSK continues to strengthen its presence in Almería, a region where the brand has found strong customer support thanks to its combination of functional Scandinavian design and competitive pricing. The expansion into El Ejido also reinforces the company's strategy of extending its reach across key urban areas in Spain.
Globally, JYSK operates more than 3,000 stores across Europe and beyond, steadily growing its international footprint. The upcoming El Ejido store highlights the brand's confidence in the Andalusian market and its commitment to offering accessible, stylish home furnishings to an ever-expanding audience.
