One of the UK's leading hotel bedroom furniture manufacturers, has announced a £1m expansion of its Leeds production facilities, marking a significant milestone in its growth journey. The investment includes the acquisition of a new 25,000 sq ft factory, designed to increase production capacity, improve efficiency, and create 30 new jobs in the city.

The new facility of Curtis Furniture, which is expected to be fully operational by January 2026, will feature state-of-the-art manufacturing technology, including a beam saw, edge bander, and two CNC routing and drilling machines. The site will also include advanced industrial extraction units, a complete compressed air system, and upgraded LED lighting, reinforcing the company's commitment to sustainability and modern production standards.
With 120 employees currently on its payroll, Curtis Furniture supplies custom-designed furniture to leading global hotel brands such as Hilton, Marriott, and IHG. The expansion will enable the firm to reduce lead times, meet growing demand, and strengthen its position as the UK's largest hotel bedroom furniture manufacturer.
Head of operations Paul Tierney, who is overseeing the project, said the investment represents a major step forward for the company and the wider manufacturing sector in Leeds. "This expansion ensures we have the capacity, technology, and skilled workforce to deliver at scale," he said. "It's an investment in both our future and the future of UK manufacturing."
