Rauch reflects back on Brussels Furniture Fair 2026

How tradition and innovation combined to meet market demands

At the recently concluded 2025 Brussels Furniture Fair, Rauch reaffirmed its position as a key player in the premium wardrobe market, building on the successful launch of its modular system introduced the previous year. According to Sabrina Häcker, Rauch's Area Sales Manager, 'the response was very positive', with the company and its retail partners enjoying increased revenue and stronger margins, signalling sustained growth within a cautious but eager market.

Evolving with customer needs
Rauch's commitment to listening and adapting to its customers was evident in the new developments showcased at the fair. Feedback from long-standing clients played a pivotal role in shaping that year's product offerings. Sabrina explained that 'several customer demands directly influenced product development', highlighting the launch of the new colour "Champagne" across all product lines, a move inspired by strong market interest.

Moreover, Rauch addressed requests for wardrobes featuring doors made from a single panel, an innovation incorporated into their sliding door programme, Taro. Complementary furniture updates, including the Aditio Box, also formed part of the expanded portfolio. The complete wardrobes were well received, especially by furniture store staff, with collections such as Contido and Skat simplifying the sales process.

Navigating market shifts
The furniture market remained challenging, with consumers showing increased price sensitivity and caution in their purchases. 'Consumers remained price-sensitive and cautious with purchases', Sabrina noted. Rauch responded with a diversified product range spanning all market segments, reflecting a growing emphasis on sustainability and digital innovation.

Digital tools like the Companion App and AI-based video presentations aimed to enhance the customer journey, providing interactive and personalised experiences. The popularity of the Champagne-coloured models and continued demand for uni colours underscored Rauch's adaptability to current preferences.

Design philosophy and new offerings
At the fair, Rauch unveiled plans to expand its Scale programme tailored to specialist retailers. The resurgence in demand for hinged door wardrobes was also met with increased offerings. Sabrina described the design ethos as 'clear, simple, and understated', an approach that spoke to both functionality and aesthetic restraint.

Visitors were also invited to explore the qualitative enhancements in Rauch's take-away segment, where nightstands and dressers were refined through technical improvements. These upgrades demonstrated Rauch's ongoing commitment to quality and innovation, even in more accessible product lines.

Looking back and forward
Rauch's steady growth and willingness to listen to its customers positioned the company well for future challenges and opportunities. As Sabrina reflected, the company's journey was shaped by a dynamic dialogue with the market, continuously adapting without losing sight of its core values.

Supporting this commitment to customer service, as of 1st November 2025, Rauch welcomed a new team member, Martin de Wit, who will be assisting the ten Brink Agenturen in managing Rauch's customers across the southern Netherlands.

In an industry often driven by fleeting trends, Rauch stood out by blending innovation with tradition, meeting professional buyers' needs while remaining true to its understated yet impactful design language. As the furniture sector evolves, Rauch's approach offers a clear blueprint for sustainable success.
