The Table Perriand from Hévéa House interprets the intersection of modernist design and Eastern philosophy, offering a sculptural and functional object rooted in biophilic principles. Inspired by the work of Charlotte Perriand and Confucian thought, the table's form and proportions are intended to facilitate gathering, learning, and exchange.

Born from a poetic encounter between East and West, the Table Perriand merges the free-flowing curves of Charlotte Perriand with the timeless philosophy of Confucius.
Charlotte Perriand's design philosophy, expressed in her own words, emphasises continuity and evolution:
'I agree that it is necessary to know everything that came before us, and I respect each era and all that it can express. But I see tradition as a chain, whose last link is the previous century. To this link, we must attach another, one we create ourselves, born of the age in which we live.'
The Table Perriand's structure reflects this philosophy. Its three solid oak legs, wide at the base and tapering toward the top, create a sense of stability and humility while evoking progression through shared knowledge. The top surface, divided into three organically flowing sections, provides both shared space and personal zones, balancing collaboration with individual focus.

The table is enhanced with three functional drawers for everyday practicality.
Hévéa House integrates biophilic design principles into the table's materiality and craftsmanship. Constructed from solid oak and veneer oak, the table emphasises tactile connection to natural textures and warmth of grain, fostering a calm and grounded environment. Its contours and silhouette echo Perriand's signature approach: functional yet expressive, human-centred yet architectural.
Suitable for libraries, offices, meeting rooms, or domestic interiors, the Table Perriand offers a flexible setting for work, discussion, or reflection. Its design encourages dialogue and learning, creating a poetic and contemplative landscape in which occupants can interact and evolve together.
