Boha Glass expands from art glass to architectural installations for interiors

'We want to become the international go-to company for glass art interior design projects'

Boha Glass, the UK-based gallery and supplier run by Anna and Barnaby Kirsen, has recently broadened its operations to include architectural glass, complementing its existing portfolio of decorative and commissioned art glass. The company, active for 16 years, collaborates with a network of more than 200 glass artists and maintains relationships with hundreds of additional makers across Europe, North America, and the UK.

Since its founding, Boha has curated glass artworks for a range of applications, including residential interiors, Hollywood studios, super yachts, and cruise ships, supporting interior designers in sourcing pieces for bespoke projects. According to Barnaby Kirsen, 'We want to become the international go-to company for any interior designer looking to add glass art to their project. Rather than having to sift through hundreds of portfolios, we search for them free of charge and with no obligation.'

First architectural commission
Boha's architectural glass offering launched with an installation at the Guinness Open Gate Brewery London in Covent Garden. The project required custom glass artwork to complement the brewery's interior architecture. 'Our first deal was creating an architectural art glass installation for the new Guinness Brewery in Covent Garden, London,' Kirsen explained.

The project demonstrates Boha's approach to artist-led production, sourcing pieces directly from makers and overseeing the integration of glass elements into architectural contexts. Kirsen highlighted the gallery's role in bridging design vision and craft, assisting designers from selection to commissioning.

Operational model and artist network
Boha operates as both a curatorial platform and procurement service. The gallery enables artists to focus on production, while Boha manages client-facing tasks including portfolio presentation, commissioning, and logistics. Its digital platform hosts a globally accessible collection, open 24/7, and serves a reported audience of 5.5 billion people worldwide.

The gallery's offering spans Murano, kiln-formed, fused, and cast glass, along with bespoke vases, sculptures, wall panels, and art ornaments. Boha also provides art hire for temporary installations, and supports interior designers with payment plans, international shipping, and returns policies.

Industry relevance
For interior design professionals, Boha's expansion into architectural glass reflects a trend of material specialization meeting project-driven design. By consolidating access to artists and studios, the gallery reduces lead times for designers while expanding creative possibilities for interiors, from feature walls to bespoke partitions and display units.

Barnaby Kirsen noted, 'It has been a year in the offing, and I am very excited. We are positioning ourselves to support designers with both decorative and structural glass, integrating artistry into larger-scale interiors.'
