Samsung Electronics has finalised its acquisition of Europe's largest HVAC company, for USD 1.7 billion (EUR 1.5 billion). FlaktGroup provides central air conditioning and ventilation solutions to homes, offices, schools, hospitals, and industrial facilities across 65 countries, generating over EUR 700 million in annual revenue.

The acquisition strengthens Samsung's position in the rapidly growing HVAC market, particularly in AI data centre cooling, projected to reach USD 44.1 billion by 2030. FlaktGroup will operate as an independent subsidiary under the Flakt brand, retaining its current management and employees. Samsung aims to integrate the companies' technologies to deliver innovative HVAC solutions globally, targeting hyperscale data centres and industrial clients.
