Key elements cited by the jury include Dornbracht ReCrafted, a pioneering circular model in which the company takes back, refurbishes, and resells its own fittings. This initiative reduces CO₂ emissions by approximately 40% compared with manufacturing new products. Durable design is another core focus, with products intended to last for generations.
The company also prioritises regional supply chains: the majority of raw materials are sourced within 200 km, with over 80% from Germany and more than 90% from Europe. Clean production practices are integral, with 96% of surplus materials recycled through in-house waste management, and advanced extraction and filtration systems ensuring environmental protection.
Caroline Schmitt, Dornbracht's management spokesperson, emphasised the team's dedication to leading by example and continuous improvement. The award follows last year's recognition in the product category for Dornbracht ReCrafted, underscoring the brand's ongoing efforts to shape a sustainable future within the sanitary sector.
