Radar Interior celebrates the poetic intersection of craftsmanship, material innovation, and light with its Haussmann collection, a series of luminous sculptures handcrafted from fine French plaster. Designed by Bastien Taillard, the collection reinterprets traditional Parisian ceiling ornamentation as contemporary wall and ceiling lights, transforming a time-honoured material into a medium of modern design expression.

Long admired for its versatility, plaster has been a fixture in design and architecture since antiquity. Radar Interior revives its legacy through artisanal workshops in Brittany, where each piece is meticulously shaped by hand. The result is a dialogue between classical refinement and modern minimalism, where light and shadow reveal the tactile beauty of the material.
Inspired by the interiors of 19th-century Parisian hôtels particuliers — their stone façades, slate rooftops, and ornate plasterwork — the Haussmann collection captures the essence of la Ville Lumière. Available in a range of sizes up to one meter in diameter, the pieces reinterpret ceiling medallions as elegant sources of ambient light, merging architectural heritage with contemporary aesthetics.
The collection moves seamlessly between styles:
- Solferino and Rivoli evoke classical grace, adorned with delicate acanthus leaf motifs and intricate reliefs.
- Odeon presents a geometric, modernist composition of concentric circles, offering a minimalist counterpoint.
- The Pulse series, created by Pierre Charrié, takes an experimental approach — translating the invisible forms of sound waves into sculptural light. Each piece captures acoustic frequencies in plaster (64 Hz and 116 Hz), crystallizing the movement of sound into solid form.
Every Radar Interior creation is made in France, merging traditional plaster artistry with a bold, contemporary vision of lighting. The result: luminous sculptures that embody the fusion of material, movement, and modern design sensibility.
