Brussels Balthazars 2025 awarded: Theuns, Kluskens, Revor and Bijnen win prizes

During the penultimate day of the Brussels 2025 Furniture Fair, the annual Brussels Balthazar Awards were presented. For the eighteenth time, the winners were announced at a festive ceremony at the Belgian Design Island (BDI), presented by the returning Virginie Claes. Under the watchful eye of Furniture Fair director Glenn De Maeseneer, the laureates received the iconic twelve-litre champagne bottles, the coveted Balthazars.

The Bijnen Meubel Groep team is delighted with the award.

The awards were presented in five categories: Best of Belgian Design Island (BDI), Best of Belgium, Best International, Innovation and Love at First Sight. This year's winners included the following companies:

- Studio Axrdoo - Vette Indruk: winner Best of BDI.
Laureates: By Ed Design - Tabl.ed and Anouk Meurice - Resitu.

- Theuns - Linio collection: winner Best of Belgium.
Laureates: Vipack - Olive and Mobitec - Toro.

Kluskens - Unica: winner Best International.
Laureates: Glam-More - Eclipse and Cartel Living - Fez.

Revor - Neonest: winner Innovation.
Laureates: Lucide - Janderin and Kreamat - Organic.

Bijnen - Cameleon: winner Love at First Sight.
Laureates: Rom - Sola and Confortluxe - Tokyo.

The Innovation Award went to Revor Group with their Neonest.tech, a circular bed base made entirely from post-consumer waste. According to the company, this innovation combines circularity and comfort and is seen as a "game changer within the industry".

ยฉ Bijnen Meubel Groep

In the Love at First Sight category, Bijnen Meubel Groep was awarded with their Cameleon design furniture. The modular concept, which seamlessly combines design and functionality, was praised for its versatility and craftsmanship. According to Bijnen, the award recognises the creative team: " Our Cameleon Design furniture captured attention with its versatility, craftsmanship and distinctive aesthetic."

The award ceremony generated much enthusiasm on social media. For example, Edwin de Mol, account manager at Bijnen Meubel Groep, posted: "Yes! Balthazar in the pocket!"

Revor Group also proudly shared their win, "๐Ÿ† Neonest.tech wins the Balthazar Award for Best of Innovation at the Brussels Furniture Fair 2025. A real game changer within the industry. Proud of this recognition for Belgian innovation, and of the great team that made it possible!"

The presentation of the Balthazar Awards not only highlights the power of Belgian design, but also shows how innovation, creativity and sustainability are increasingly coming together within the furniture industry.

The Brussels Furniture Fair closes its doors today, on 5 November. Next year, the fair will take place from 8 to 11 November 2026.
