Milan-based Moiré Gallery Milano is making its first appearance at Dubai Design Week 2025, presenting an exclusive selection of works by Italian architect and designer Isabella Garbagnati. From November 5 to 9, the gallery participates in Editions, the Middle East's dedicated fair for limited-edition art and design, within the Downtown Design exhibition space at Dubai Design District (d3).

Founded and curated by Ouafa Lotfi Tahoun, Moiré Gallery Milano has long been recognised for fostering a dynamic dialogue between art, fashion, and design. For its Dubai debut, Lotfi Tahoun has chosen Garbagnati, whose work elegantly embodies Italian style, combining craftsmanship, artistic heritage, and poetic expression.
A direct descendant of renowned architect Gio Ponti, Garbagnati's creations straddle the line between architecture and design. She specialises in luxury, custom-made, limited-edition sculptural lighting, which balances solidity and light while exploring materiality in innovative ways. Her works are produced in Milan in collaboration with local artisans and manufacturers, with every piece hand-assembled in her studio.
Garbagnati's designs showcase meticulous attention to detail, blending diverse materials, glass, brass, resins, alabaster, iron, quartz, and copper, into harmonious compositions where light is the central element. The result is lighting that is at once functional, sculptural, and timelessly elegant, reflecting both her architectural training and her instinctive artistry.
"For my gallery's debut at Dubai Design Week, I chose an artist who embodies Italian style, craftsmanship, and expressive poetry," explains Lotfi Tahoun. "Isabella Garbagnati's creations are materic and poetic, and I am proud to introduce her work to an international audience at such a significant design event."
