Crate & Barrel is recalling approximately 54,930 Ana Dining Chairs in the United States and 3,160 in Canada due to defective legs that may break, posing a fall hazard, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced on October 30, 2025.

The recall affects chairs sold in charcoal, gray, ivory, navy, and velvet finishes, available both in-store and online between January 2021 and January 23, 2025. Models sold after this date are not impacted. Retail prices ranged from $300 to $350.
Consumers are urged to stop using the affected chairs immediately. Crate & Barrel is offering free replacements and will collect the recalled chairs at no cost.
The recall has drawn public attention partly due to similarities with HBO's comedy "The Chair Company", in which a character's chair breaks during a corporate meeting.
For more information or to arrange a replacement, consumers can visit Crate & Barrel's website or call 800-451-8217.
This recall marks another instance of furniture safety concerns impacting consumers and retailers alike, highlighting the importance of prompt action when structural defects are identified.
