Swedish furniture retailer IKEA will open its second full-service Houston-area store in Webster in summer 2026, the company announced. The 93,000-square-foot location at the Center at Baybrook (19801 Gulf Freeway) marks IKEA's 10th store in Texas and complements its existing Spring Branch store and the design-focused "Plan and Order" outlet in Katy.

The store will stock 7,000 products, including 4,800 available for immediate purchase, with larger items such as sofas and beds offered for in-store pick-up or delivery. IKEA's "As-is Department" will sell used, discontinued, and discounted products to promote sustainability.
Customers can consult with staff on kitchen, bedroom, and home design projects, and the store will feature the signature IKEA cafeteria serving Swedish meatballs, plant balls, hot dogs, veggie options, and pastries.
Javier Quiñones, CEO and chief sustainability officer of IKEA U.S., said the Webster store reflects the brand's aim to "bring IKEA closer to the many people and make it easier and more affordable to access our home furnishing products and solutions." Fredrik Rabe, market manager for IKEA Houston, added: "We are meeting the many people where they are, and I'm thrilled that we are continuing to grow our presence across Texas."
The store reinforces IKEA's commitment to affordable, functional, and sustainable home furnishings for Houston residents.
