Spanish furniture manufacturer Actiu has furnished the new Elisava Madrid campus with innovative solutions designed to foster creativity and transform the space into an active educational tool. Designed by Arquitectura-G in collaboration with creative agency Folch, the 300 m² space occupies a former industrial warehouse and features no fixed classrooms or predefined uses. The environment can be reconfigured three to four times a day thanks to Actiu's lightweight, mobile, and stackable furniture, including Fluit chairs and Talent height-adjustable tables, allowing students and educators to adapt the space to a variety of activities.
"This is not a space for teaching, it is a space for activating: ideas, encounters, questions. We needed the furniture to accompany this constant logic of transformation. Actiu's Fluit chairs and Talent tables allow us to redesign the environment quickly and effortlessly. Everything is mobile, stackable, modular. The space adapts to the content, not the other way around," explained Édgar González, director of Elisava Madrid.
The Fluit chairs, made from 100% recycled materials, are lightweight, resistant, and fully recyclable. The Talent tables are height-adjustable, foldable, and equipped with wheels, enabling seamless transitions between sitting and standing work, collaborative sessions, and presentations.
"At Actiu we firmly believe that space influences how people learn, teach, and interact. Today, more than ever, society needs professionals with critical thinking, problem-solving skills, teamwork capacity, and communication abilities," said Soledat Berbegal, Actiu's Counsellor and Brand Reputation Director. "Our commitment is to design spaces that make this transformation possible, supporting dynamic, active, and participative educational models."
Elisava Madrid, the first campus outside Barcelona, focuses on postgraduate studies in business design, leadership, and branding, providing creative professionals and corporate participants with a platform for experimentation, collaboration, and innovation. The campus exemplifies a contemporary and sustainable approach to educational spaces, combining flexibility, mobility, and environmental consciousness.
