The space showcases Marimekko's full lifestyle range, combining technical design elements with a structural expressionist style inspired by its Helsinki textile printing factory. The layout uses colour-coded zones to differentiate product categories, guiding customers through the store. For example, the dining area provides ideas for table decorations and interior styling. The flexible modular fixtures allow the store to adapt to seasonal changes and a variety of creative uses.
Creative Director Rebekka Bay said, "In this space, Marimekko's joyful and optimistic attitude to life meets the vibrant Le Marais district. This store allows us to offer an exciting insight into the world of Marimekko printmaking and create a connection to the lives and lifestyles of Parisians with a Finnish flair."
The opening reflects Marimekko's strategy to enhance brand presence and offer immersive retail experiences that blend cultural storytelling with practical design guidance. This Paris flagship represents the brand's commitment to combining creativity, functionality, and lifestyle inspiration for an international audience.
