Originally established as an online-only platform, Corston now brings an immersive showroom experience to Spain, allowing clients to interact directly with its premium collections. "Barcelona is known for its architectural heritage and we are very excited about the opening of our first showroom in Spain in this incredible city. Corston was born to offer thoughtful design, lasting quality and reliable service," said David Gray, Product Director and Co-Founder of Corston. He added, "From an originally online-only brand, we believe in customer interaction with our products and services, and this new showroom will allow us to showcase them, providing designers with the experiences, tools and inspiration they need, all in one place and at their own pace. The opening in Madrid will take place on 29 November."
Corston's products are designed to be timeless, seamlessly complementing both contemporary and historic interiors, from new-build spaces to heritage homes. Produced in-house, the range of switches, sockets, hardware, and lighting reflects a commitment to sustainable, authentic materials and is available in three classic finishes: polished nickel, bronze, and aged brass, a natural patina develops over time, adding depth and character.
The Barcelona showroom emphasises the experiential aspect of Corston's philosophy. Clients can see, feel, and appreciate the meticulous craftsmanship and varied finishes of each piece, an engagement that digital platforms cannot replicate.
Founded in Wiltshire, England, in September 2019 by Giles Redman and David Gray, Corston Architectural Detail has grown to a team of over 100 professionals. The brand has established a presence in ten European markets and operates flagship stores in Paris, New York, and Dubai. Corston integrates sustainability into its design process by using recycled materials and eliminating plastic packaging, reflecting its commitment to environmentally responsible practices.
"We believe that the switches, sockets, fittings and lighting systems we use daily are important and should be designed to the highest standards," the company notes, combining timeless design, craftsmanship, and sustainability as pillars for its international expansion.
