Danish retail chain Søstrene Grene recorded a record EUR 382.37 million (DKK 2.856 billion) in sales for the 2024 financial year, marking a 31% increase compared to the previous year. The chain continues its expansion, set to open its 100th store in Germany on 20 November in Lüneburg.

The company attracts over 100 million annual store visitors and more than 43 million online visits. Mikkel Grene, Group CEO and co-owner, said the focus extends beyond sales: "For us, it's about much more than selling products, we want to give our customers a special feeling the moment they enter our universe."
Germany, the first country where Søstrene Grene has reached 100 stores, has been a priority market since the first store opened in Hamburg in 2016. The chain plans to operate 500 stores across Europe by 2027. Grene added that the support of German customers has been key to growth, even during the coronavirus pandemic.
Søstrene Grene has previously invested in European logistics, including a 45,000-square-metre distribution centre in Venlo, Netherlands, to reduce delivery times and CO2 emissions. The company continues to expand its network in Germany and other European markets while maintaining its focus on a distinctive in-store and online customer experience.
