Bauhaus to double Næstved store with new 11,000 square metre project

Bauhaus is set to significantly expand its presence in Næstved with the construction of a new, modern hardware store spanning approximately 11,000 square metres, more than doubling the current sales area. The project includes a drive-in timber yard and a large garden centre, offering a wider range of products from building materials to interior and lighting solutions.

The investment aims to strengthen Bauhaus' position in South Zealand, targeting both business and private customers. CEO Mads Jørgensen emphasised that the store is designed not only for space and products but also to provide inspiration, experiences, and expert advice for customers.

Scheduled to open in summer 2026, the store will feature improved capacity, more flexible product flow, and facilities that make it easier for craftsmen and DIY enthusiasts to collect heavy goods. The modern garden centre will cater to outdoor living and green projects.

Construction is being carried out in stages, with the official foundation stone ceremony planned for 24 October, attended by Næstved's mayor, Carsten Rasmussen. This development represents a substantial commitment by Bauhaus to the local market and the company's continued growth in Denmark.
