Store homewares sales increased by +4.64%, while non-store homewares sales declined for the third consecutive week, slipping -1.34%. Overall, total store LFL sales rose +0.82%, and total non-store LFL sales grew +4.43%.
BDO noted that store growth was led by lifestyle and homewares, whereas fashion sales dipped into negative territory after ten weeks of gains. Online sales growth was driven by fashion, while lifestyle and homewares underperformed.
The week's mild but cooler weather, with overcast skies and some rain, contrasted with the unsettled conditions of the same week in 2024, suggesting that weather patterns may have influenced footfall and buying trends.
