UCEM embraces digital transformation and network expansion amid uncertainty

The UCEM cooperative, comprising Monsieur Meuble, Meublena, Maison Crozatier, and Expert Litier networks, is navigating a challenging economic period with "method and confidence," according to president Christophe Gavaudan. Despite lower in-store traffic, UCEM reports stable sales and a rising average basket, suggesting resilience in a tense market.

A major milestone has been the digitalisation of UCEM's operations, including a 2D web catalogue, configurator, and integrated digital services developed with Cosika's "Boost Ta Trybu" software. The system enables zero-paper operations and provides sales teams, even newly trained staff, with access to the full collection on tablets. The forthcoming new website, launching in November, will allow customers to explore and configure products before transferring their projects to stores, enhancing the physical retail experience without immediate online sales.

Monsieur Meuble continues to lead network expansion, opening five stores in 2025 and planning additional launches in 2026, including smaller 500 m² formats enabled by digital tools. Maison Crozatier has undergone a rebranding to a premium positioning, while Expert Litier shows strong double-digit growth across its 35-unit network. Meublena maintains its complementary presence within UCEM.

Gavaudan emphasises that UCEM's priorities remain accelerating digital adoption and expanding its network, while maintaining operational stability. He concludes, "everything is under control," highlighting disciplined management amid uncertainty.
